Methodology.

To ensure you of a successful implementation, The Concept Group uses the Microsoft Project methodology, called Sure Step Methodology, including deliverables and acceptance times. Below is an outline of this method.

Following phases can be distinguished within this methodology:

Phase 1: Diagnostic/Scoping
During this phase the business processes at high level are identified and described. At the same time, the customer explains his business strategy. This results in a document that describes the general requirements (present and future); the scope is identified.

Phase 2: Requirements en GAP/FIT analyse
Initially, all the requirements are identified. Then, during the GAP / FIT analysis The Concept Group analyses what can be realized with the standard solution. If a requirement cannot be implemented within the standard solution, a work-around will be considered. If a work-around is not an option, then this point is indicated as a "GAP" and a proposal for customization will follow

Prior to this phase, the key users have had a training of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, so that they know the basic features of the NAV-software and its add-ons.

Phase 3: Design
The standard functionality which needs to be implemented is described extensively, as well as the customizations and conversions needed, all based on the previously defined requirements. The result is an Enterprise Design Document, which is the basis for the implementation of the project. The client has had a blueprint of the implementation which provides absolute clarity in the further implementation. Also, after acceptance of the Design Document a technical analysis will describe the development of the customizations.

Phase 4: Development
In this phase the customizations are developed as well as the software needed for conversion and interfacing. Afterwards the developed functionality will be tested and can be delivered.

Phase 5: Deployment (Implementation)
In this phase, we distinguish the following steps:
- Set-up of the various modules, as described in the ED document and confirmed by the customer.
- Implementation (configuration) of the software described in the ED Document
- Implementation of customizations
- Extensive training of the users.
- Perform a full system test
- Conduct performance testing
- Implement conversions
- go live.

The development and deployment phases are much overlapping. We always advice to do the conversions as early as possible in the project, so users can test with their own data.

Phase 6: Operation (Incl. Go live)
Once the project has started, we provide the necessary guidance to the users. Some employees of The Concept Group will be present at the customer to be able to offer the necessary assistance where needed. At the same time, the customer can contact The Concept Group's helpdesk which can also provide the necessary support.

Projectmanagement
During the project, the project manager is responsible for the following activities:
- Prepare and attend steering groups
- Follow up activities
- Follow up and make decisions on possible changes that occur during the project
- Planning of people and activities
- Monitoring the budget
- Quality control
